# 10

Dear Family,

I have made it to Armenia safe and sound! I'm sorry I wasn't able to call you from Vienna...we couldn't find pay phones and Sister Bezdjian's phone was not working. I'm glad I was able to talk to you in SLC and DC though! I love and miss you all so much!

Please tell Aunt Cheryl thank you for the food. Sister Jack and I loved it! We ran out of food during our 14 hour layover in Vienna though and there wasn't an exchange rate place so I bought some food on the VISA. It's only about $6.30 I think, but Dad you can look online to check the conversion rate.

While waiting for our flight in Vienna, Sister Jack and I started talking to Bella, a native Armenian who lives in Germany and has a four year old daughter, Isabella. She was so sweet! We asked her if she could help us practice our Armenian and she said she would. We got to know her and asked about her life. Her daughter, Isabella is so cute! She knows some German and some Armenian and so she would count in Armenian and in German with us. (Sister Jack knows some German so she would translate if there were any issues with the language barrier.) We ended up talking about families a little bit with Bella and Isabella and we left them with pass along cards before we boarded the plane. Isabella didn't want us to leave though and so she kept grabbing my hand and pulling me over towards them. It was so adorable! She is a cutie.

When we landed in Armenia, one of Sister Jack's bags didn't make it all the way through, so we spent a couple of hours filling out forms so that they could sent it to her. Afterwards, President and Sister Carter met us outside of the customs area. They brought the four of us flowers and welcomed us into the country. This morning I had an interview with the four assistants and now I am waiting to be interviewed by President Carter.

I love you all and miss you a bunch!

Yes seerum em dzez,

Kuyr Morreall
