Why I'm Serving

I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have felt of Heavenly Father's love for me and I want others to know of His love for them. After searching for myself, I've gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that God is my Father. He loves me. I know that Jesus Christ is my older brother. He atoned for my sins so that I, through repentance, could return back to my Father-in-Heaven and live with my family for eternity. Christ loves me so much that He gave His life for me. I know that He overcame death, was resurrected and that He lives. I know that He communicates to us today through living prophets. I know that the Holy Ghost is there to guide, comfort and protect each and every single person on the Earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet, seer and revelator called of God. I know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have searched and studied it. I strive to share the principles and teachings contained in it to others so that they might find joy. I know that we can communicate to our Father-in-Heaven through prayer. He listens to and answers all prayers. By finding all of this out for myself, I have found joy and peace in my life. I hope that I can be of service to Lord in helping others find this truth for themselves.

"I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy." Alma 29:9
